Widow's Project

The Widows' Project was started due to a need that was highlighted especially in Chiminisiguan and surrounding villages. In this area there seems to be a large number of women whose husbands have either died or have abandoned them, and these women are left to fight to provide food and shelter for not only themselves, but also for their many children. While Adonai has already been supporting them with prayer and food for a few years now, they began to teach the widows how to make pine needle baskets. Each month they meet and have a devotional with the group of widows, and Adonai buys the baskets they've made throughout the last month. This helps to sustain them with a little extra income, and more importantly provides a way for the mission to encourage and show them the love of Christ.
