Duane and Leslie Ficker

Duane and Leslie Ficker first came to Guatemala in 1996. In 1999, they, with their six kids, drove through Mexico to Guatemala with a school bus and a pick-up truck. They founded AIM in 2002, and have lived in Guatemala ever since. Duane is one of AIM's pilots and the general contractor for AIM's various construction projects, while Leslie is a nurse and helps to direct the Medicine division of AIM. Both Duane and Leslie are spiritual mentors of AIM as a whole. They live on the mission base with two of their daughters: Grace and Abi.

Aaron and katie Ficker

Aaron and Katie met in Guatemala when Katie came to help in the clinics as a nurse. They were married in 2007 and have worked together full-time with AIM since then. Aaron is AIM’s airplane mechanic and inspector. He also directs the goat project and other agricultural areas of the ministry. Katie is a primary worship leader with AIM, helps coordinate the nursing school, and homeschools their four children, Anna, Ethan, Levi, and Genesis.

Ryan and katie Ficker

Ryan and Katie were married in 2006. They moved to Guatemala to join full-time staff in 2014. Ryan serves the ministry in administrative roles for both the medical facility and the nursing school. He also works on AIM's various construction projects. Katie serves in a hospitality role for AIM’s many visitors. She also assists with IT, manages the aquaponics project, sings on worship sets, and homeschools their children. Jacob, their oldest, works with the maintenance and construction crew and helps with aviation ground-traffic control.

David and brittany Ficker

David and Brittany met when she came to Guatemala to serve on a short-term team in January 2019. Later that same year, they were married and lived in the US while Brittany finished her nursing degree. They returned to Guatemala in October, 2020. David is AIM's primary mechanic and helps with various construction and agricultural projects. Brittany homeschools their children and coordinates with visitors and teams who are planning their trips here to Canillá to serve with the ministry.

Joseph and Jessica Ficker

Joseph has lived in Guatemala since 1999. He and Jessica met while they were both participating in an internship in Kansas City. They were married and joined full-time staff in 2014. Joseph is one of the ministry's pilots. Jessica serves in the prayer room, helps with bookkeeping and finances where needed, and spends her days caring for their two children, Liesel and Shane.

Nathan and heather harms

Heather has been coming to Guatemala since she was very young, and as a couple, Heather and Nathan have served with AIM on multiple occasions. As two family practice physicians, they committed to full-time staff in 2021. They have two children, Esther and Titus. Heather & Nathan will fulfill their commitment with AIM this summer, as they move onto their next chapter.

Prosper and miriam musipa

Prosper and Miriam first came to Guatemala on a short term trip in December 2016 from Zimbabwe. They returned to join AIM’s staff in 2019. Prosper is a surgical nurse who also works in radiology, and Miriam is a nurse mid-wife. They have one son, Jason.
